The knowledge area of Heat Machines and Engines is composed of members of the Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Construction Department.

We offer courses in various degrees:

· Industrial Engineering

· Technical Industrial Engineering: Mechanics

· Technical Industrial Engineering: Electronics

· Technical Industrial Engineering: Industrial Chemistry

· Technical Agriculture Engineering in Agricultural and Agrifood Industries

· Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering (UdG degree)

The five members of the area are also members of the Research Group in Fluid Engineering and Environmental Science (GREFEMA) working in the following research topics:

· Energy efficiency and renewable energy applications in industrial and home sectors.

· Dynamic prediction methodologies of energy consumption in buildings.

· Evaluation of environmental acoustic impact due to transport.

· Evaluation of acoustic and vibration impact in the industrial sector.

· Acoustic optimization of waste systems in heat engines.

· Prediction methodologies for road, railroad and aerial traffic noise.

· Architectural acoustics

The development of these research topics provides inestimable support to teaching, leading to Final Degree Projects, PhD theses, Educational staff and Continued Education Courses, in addition to different papers for all sorts of related Conferences, Workshops, Technical Meetings, etc.
